one day lip sync project

As the snow had progressed in week one we were a week slightly behind. But back on track on Monday 11th January in the morning by John Dempsey we were set to complete a task for the whole day which was to create our own music video using an Abba song given to us by John. We had the opportunity to create our own groups in which me, Sharney and amyl were together. We had quite a fun day creating day but had found it hard at some point as we had filmed the first verse of the song outside which was interesting because the scenery had gave a good expression to our video we had found it slightly hard though because we had no music with us at that time and then successfully had done the chorus in college in the media department where we had you tube to help us out. Sharney and me had started in this little clip whilst Amy had recorded it after an hour of getting all the lines right we had done the third verse outside in the snow where ma and may had been in the scene and Amy had sang to me in this clip we had produced an over should shot in which you could only see Amy sing and then there was another clip where I was at the back and had popped up regularly in the scene. We had finished the song with a scene in the park and had continued the chorus with us in the media department.

In the afternoon after coming back from shooting we had the afternoon to edit the clips and sync it into the actual song. But after going through all the clips we had found out the chorus had not been recorded so we had to shot the scene again which had not taken that long. However, after coming back from shooting the computer had messed up and we had not completed the editing in time but we have nearly finished. On the Thursday that week we had got the editing done and uploaded it on CD.

purpose of music videos

We always use music everyday whether its listening to the radio or even travelling where we always plug our headphones into our ears and dance along to the music. There is a variety that different people listen to such as hip-hop, Arabic, classical and much more. Bringing out new music everyday had made a great impact in the music industry. Over a million people worldwide download music. Over the last decade the music had increased due to the amount of times pop groups have been advertised and seen on TV. Music plays a great deal in our life without it life would be so dull it music makes the art of our lives.

The purpose of the music is to entertain us keep all age groups satisfied you can tell what kind of songs are for different age groups such as the group is mostly aimed for our parent, classical would supposedly be for the grandparents while rap and hip-hop would be aimed for teenagers. But what all the groups or singers intend to do is entertaining us with their music as well as compete with each other. All music’s promote their music in many ways such as on the radio, you often see album releases when sitting on the bus or billboards so the music industry promote their music in many different ways.

Music was first introduced in the early 1960’s when singers and groups first sang which were:

· Duran Duran

· Queen

While in 1970’s music such as:

· Bob Dylan

· Rolling stones

And from then ,music had progressed and then in the early 1990’s MTV was introduced and that when music video’s were introduced as well the British were the first to introduce it to us in which they had sold billions of their albums copies and from then MTV have been so famously popular.

In 2000 new gadgets were introduced and that’s when downloading had began. New gadgets such as iPods, iphones, blackburrys and many more were introduced the music had arisen an increasingly great amount. Such as Beyonce she may not have been as popular as she was ten years ago but with selling at least billion copies of her latest songs she has become a true star by promoting herself such as doing concerts, creating posters, letting people access her web page and many more. and this how many artists get recognized.

purpose of research

we all do some research everyday whether its finding information out in books, internet or maybe even doing a questionnaire. so why do we do research? we all want to find out information about everyday life so we research it and find out we find out the facts about it or maybe the figures, understanding is the first priority. there are two types of ways we find out information such as:

the primary research

this is research is all about you what you have wrote without any information already exists this is known as a desk research such as using questionnaires, analyzing and much more. feedback is also in this section such as giving a pitch to someone and then getting advice to them.

secondary

secondary is information that already exists its easy research that people already know about it is a really good place to start for a good background such as from magazines, newspapers and much more,

In class we were three different tasks to do. In my assignment I have chosen two videos very different from one another one is Michael buble just haven’t met you yet and the other one is Beyonce sweet dreams. Comparing the two videos are very different from one another.

Michael buble just haven’t met you yet

Michael was born in 1975 he is a singer and also a actor he was born in Canada. E was won overall several awards for his music His first singing engagements were in nightclubs at the age of 16 and were facilitated by his Italian grandfather, who was a plumber coming from the county of Preganziol, about 40 kilometers from Padua, Italy, offering plumbing services in exchange for stage time for his grandson. His Italian grandfather also paid for his singing lessons. One of his vocal instructors was Joseph Shore, the opera baritone Bublé's fourth studio album, Crazy Love, was due from 143/Reprise Records on 13 October 2009.] However, an early release in the United States occurred on 9 October 2009. The album contains 12 tracks (and 1 bonus track), including two original songs. Its first single, "Haven't Met You Yet" was released 31 August 2009.

Just haven’t met you yet video

The just haven’t met you yet music video is very up beat as at the start you can tell what kind of location the scenes will be. The location set is in the supermarket where at the start you see the stores name and also the employee’s. As the music plays along you 5seconds into the video you can see that the beat with the music goes with what the employee is doing as she is entering some items into the till the beat of the music goes along with her.
The mis en scene of this video has been done very carefully as you can see that the location of this video has been done in the supermarket but there are many scenes where you see him going thorough one another and see him sitting on the shelves and also walking on the freezer tops. In the middle of the video you can see that he has added various types of people and not just him he has had selection types of people such as an employee price marking and then starting to do a break dance and a cashier dancing whilst serving. You can see that the characters in this video are all having fun as they dance. There video is like something you would imagine in your dreams as 1.13 into the video it looks like he is on the date with her but in the market he also adds a bed 1.29 seconds into the video.
Further into the video at the end of the video he is outside of the store dancing around looking like everyone in the video are having their time of life. People are standing on cars and also confetti has been fallen. However, all the dancing has been in sync they all do the same movement 3.12 seconds into the video.
The ending of the video has been set out as if he has just been standing there singing along whilst paying for his purchases and you see the girl looking at him like he is a weirdo and at the end of the video you see the main girl enter the superstore.
Throughout the video there have been many different types of shots such as close up shots, mid shots, over shoulder shots and many more.
The lyrics goes well with the video because it is up beat and you wouldn’t imagine it to be like that but it goes well wit the lyrics its like him going into the store for food and then he finds love as well.
The lighting in this video has been used very visually as 47 seconds into the video the lighting changes and it looks like he just got stuck with love.
In this video there is a lot of music based instrumental uses such as you can hear a beat if the piano being played and also drums so there is a lot of beat in this piece of music. There is a lot of performance, narrative and concept in this video.
The promo for this video promotes singer really well as you can tell he is a musical kind of person and like up beat music most of his songs are like that and he is a very imaginative person.
This kind of music would be aimed at teens but also adults because he’s not like other artists such as Jay-Z or Eminem he has not rap its all music more like pop so I think this would be aimed at mostly adults ages between 20-30 and some teenagers well I like it and I am 19.

Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R&B girl group Destiny's Child. According to Sony, Knowles record sales, when combined with the group, have surpassed 120 million. After leaving destiny’s child Beyoncé got into becoming a solo singer and also a actress with many movies and song out she is noted as one of the best female artists in the world. Sweet dreams

The song sweet dream’s was released last year in her album I am Sasha Fierce. The start of the video she has been located in a dark place with a heart beat. In this video there is also a lot of guitar being played at the start of the song all you can hear is a heart beat and then it becomes more up beat. You also get some close up shots from her only showing her eyes and then from 10seconds on the music become more up beat and you can hear screaming to make the music look more interesting

The location of the start to seconds it shows she has moved from dark room to some light but dark room. The color of her set has changed as it goes from dark to light dark to actual light with a white background. From 28 seconds she also dances to the beat of the music and then suddenly from 37 seconds she has gradually got two dancers at the back of her following her dance moves. The background of her second clip looks like she is in space with her outfit she is wearing also goes with her scene. From 1.15 the chorus the scene changes as she is in a white background with a colourful outfit but this also shows shots done symmetrically. Her dances have been done very quickly and have all been in sync with each other.

From 1.23 seconds from the video there from there there are a lot of side shots taken of her and also her dancers. From 1.26 she has moved scenes very quickly and the lighting of this has changed due to some light blue shady grey kind of colour. In this video there are a lot of majority of close up shots long shots and also side shots. You also get some bird’s eye view shots from 1.45 seconds. There are many scenes in this video from where at the start she had started out in the dark and then slowly progressing to lighter locations.

From 2.53 the scene goes all black and white and then dramatically goes back to a white background. As she is wearing a gold outfit which looks like she is a robot reflects to the camera she is looking straight at the camera. With glass fading from the bottom it looks like she is controlling what is going on with her. She uses the same dance moves throughout the whole video but she walks a lot which keeps to the beat of the rhythm.

The video ends back to a dark setting where she says ‘turn the lights off’ 3.55 into the video.

She has gone in sync with her video and reflects a lot to the video. The audience to this kind of music would reflect to teenagers as there is a lot of hip-hop to her songs and also to her video’s.
